Istanbul,1966

​

He graduated from Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department in 1989 .

He completed his master's degree at the same university in 1996 with his thesis titled 'Picture in Contemporary Architecture'. The artist, who is doing his doctorate in Yeditepe University Plastic Arts Painting Major, has works in many private collections in Turkey and abroad. The artist, who draws attention especially with his large-size works, continues to work in his workshop in Şaşkınbakkal, Istanbul.

This result always opens the door to identification, extending into the deep realm of existence. Sartre: “To create images is to put reality at a distance.” says. This is the activity of the dream product of going out of existence. The works of Figen Batı that emerged through encounters; they are the "timeless" flows of a rational, sensory and emotional bond established by the conscious, the conscious  gold and the unconscious in a dialectic. In the dialectical relationship between time and existence, the artist carries the fears, happiness, disappointment, and stuckness in his own existence between the inner conflicts and the past and the future that the artist attributes to the self  with images_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf78d_cf78d-5 _ 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ instantiates time. Syndrome    _syndrome of insight  is a dynamic determination of movements in the inner universe of insight. The relationship that the artist establishes with objects also includes fragile expressions within chaotic processes. Even though he has always kept himself in the present, all times turn into disparate images by moving in each other. The theme of painting brings him face to face with concrete facts, events and feelings. Every image is in it concrete representations of real events. It occurs in different forms. Every phenomenon related to life gets entangled with each other and reaches the grasp of the artist's aesthetic ideal. Each  is an innate state of instantaneous existence. They include the artist's concern to reach the future and the universal on an objective plane. The harmonic integrity created by energy, time and space on the canvas pushes the limits of image power by bringing objects to the surface. The objects it makes visible are reflected in their color forms, creating an expression process  questioning . The contrasts of the light-dark values in the backgrounds  create space-enhancing effects. The distributions of the contrasts on the canvas contribute to the expression of aesthetic thought, with color nuances,  with light spots, your color  in some places transparent, in some places exploding. Although he prefers monochrome harmony in some of his compositions, many of his paintings suggest an emotional expression with contrast  harmonies. Where the image comes to life, the borders are within each other  they create integrity with color spots, they evolve into a chaos where forms flow.
